Peak Arts Therapies CIC is a creative collaboration between experienced arts therapists Chier Morris and Catherine Pamplin. Chier is a Music Therapist and Vocal Psychotherapist and Catherine is an Art Psychotherapist. We each offer therapy sessions for those who self refer and people referred to us by schools, health professionals and community organisations. We work from our lovely studio space at 10 Fairfield Road in Buxton. Read on to find out more about how we work and what's on offer from Peak Arts Therapies.
A safe space to nurture your wellbeing

Music Therapy
Music Therapy is an established psychological clinical intervention delivered by HCPC-registered music therapists. It helps people whose lives have been affected by injury, illness, or disability by supporting their psychological, emotional, cognitive, physical, communicative, and social needs.
Art Therapy
Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses art materials and art-making to express and explore feelings, thoughts, issues, and concerns. Art therapy can benefit people of any age, background or ability, including those with complex needs, disabilities or affected by trauma. I work with children, young people, adults and the elderly. I warmly welcome enquiries.

Testimonials
Private Art Therapy Adult Client
“I want to say a very warm thank you for the way you’ve supported me. Your presence, attunement, and gentle challenge have been exactly what I needed. I often find your words and artwork close by when I need them most. I don’t think I realised how much I needed your support until I had it.”
Music Therapy in supported living
My friend who lives in Supported housing has been benefiting from weekly individual Music Therapy for over 5 years.
Initially he was unsure and was keen to end the session (by walking out of the room!) but with the therapist's expert gentle attention he quickly understood he could be the person in charge. He is now clearly leading the session with the therapist joining in at his prompts. His pleasure and pride is obvious to see and hear.
His ability to make choices and be more self-directing in all other aspects of his life have also stemmed from this very special intensive interaction.
Although Music Therapy is not a quick fix it is worth persisting with. The benefits will surprise you!
